I don't remember where I read it,but did Vince Lombardi consider trading Ray Nitschke for the rights to draft Tommy Nobis?

It wouldn't surprise me. In 1966, Lombardi felt that his assistant, Norb Hecker, wasn't ready to be a HC (I think that Lombardi was thinking about taking the Atlanta job).
