Thomas always seemed closer to London Fletcher than Urlacher and Lewis.
This statement I definitely agree with. Although still well above Fletcher.

Probably not enough signature moments that were chronicled by NFL Films so that people can easily remember. Which is ridiculous, but Thomas was never a rah rah guy like Ray Lewis. Also, someone like Lewis also has the Super Bowl to go along with his bravado. Urlacher at least has the Super Bowl appearance and was seen as the defensive leader of that team. Jason Taylor was the most notable personality on the Dolphins and it seemed like Thomas, Madison, and Surtain were just the other pieces of the puzzle.

Steve Atwater - No...but close
Ronde Barber - No - Lots of good to very good years. 1 great year
Tony Boselli - No - a short, very good career. Not enough
Isaac Bruce - Yes
LeRoy Butler - Coin flip. Leaning Yes
Don Coryell - Yes
Roger Craig - No. Very good player enhanced by a great system
Brian Dawkins - Yes
Alan Faneca - Yes
Torry Holt - Yes
Steve Hutchinson - Yes
Joe Jacoby - No
Edgerrin James - Yes. Though close. Becoming more and more underrated as time goes by. Turned in four 1500+ yard season with very good receiving numbers. Add in a few 1200 and 1100 yarders and that tips the scales.
Jimmy Johnson - Yes. Though really wish his career was longer.
Ty Law - No
Ray Lewis - Yes
John Lynch - hell no
Kevin Mawae - Yes. But close
Karl Mecklenburg - No
Randy Moss - Yes
Leslie O’Neal - Yes. Very underrated
Terrell Owens - Yes
Simeon Rice - No. But closer than you'd think
Richard Seymour - ha. No
Brian Urlacher - Yes, by a whisker
Everson Walls - Coin flip. Leaning no
Hines Ward -No

Career Stuffs:
Lewis - 118
Urlacher - 104
Thomas - 93
Fletcher - 70
Mills - 51.5

Now that's just one number, but agree it's better than total tackles. The ranking here however, does line up to the eyeball test though I'd put Mills over Fletcher.
