After reading our discussion about the 70’s Cowboys, 21st century Patriots and 2020’s Chiefs, out of curiosity what Patriots players from that generation could you see slipping through the cracks of the Hall of, but deserving the Hall of Very Good?

Of course some players will take awhile for HOVG election but many will eventually qualify ...

We dont know how long Vince Wilfork will have to wait for HOF induction but he should be the next nose/shade tackle to make it. If not, he will one day make the HOVG along with Willie McGinest, Asante Samuel and later players like Devin McCourty, Wes Welker and Chandler Jones. I think Mankins like Wilfork, will make the HOF but could at least make the HOVG if not. Aquib Talib, and Stephon Gilmore as well.

I see Rodney Harrison as a HOVG inductee someday. I don't see him making the HOF.

Harrison a guy with diverse stats, sacks, INTs, TFLs, high for his position; it makes sense researchers would see that. Also, yes, Mankins super solid. Going to be interesting how new Hall process treats players like that.
