Current “Quarterback Teases”

Out of curiosity, are there any quarterbacks currently active that you think could be considered a “tease”?
I.e. Saw some early success in the pros, a lot of people believed he could be something special or lead their team to a title, but their career doesn’t live up to those expectations.

Tough to call current QBs teases because they're still developing and trying to build consistent seasons. If any QB is a tease its Kyler Murray, who dazzled observers with his talent and instincts before fans found out he needed clauses in his extension for studying film and gameplans better. Not a good sign when you cant impress receivers like Larry Fitzgerald and Marvin Harrison Jr. The Cardinals are paying him to play somewhere else, which shows their willingness to move on, despite their own problems.
I expect Murray to take his career more seriously in Minnesota, especially with an upgrade in coaching and overrall team talent. If he doesnt, his starting days may be numbered. Can he channel Fran Tarkenton and resurrect his career?
Jordan Love is another QB who can tease fans into thinking he can be something special but hasnt been able to put a big season together yet, that can enable his team to host enough playoff games. Yes, the team's defense is partly to blame, especially after collapses against the Eagles and the Bears the last two years in postseason but Love knows the expectations are always high in Green Bay. Could this be the season the team puts it together?
They might not have Parsons back till mid october?

He may not be a tease because he is putting playoff seasons together, but Justin Herbert has to find a way to take a beating all year and still win a playoff game. Maybe Daniels can give him a better supporting cast and line play but Herbert has to take advantage. This defense for LA should still be good without Minter but its tough with the Chiefs and Broncos ahead. Can Diggs join the team and add leadership?
Will Nix overcome his injuries and be smarter with the use of his mobility? I feel Waddle is overrated but if Nix can get the ball to him and Sutton ... could get interesting. When will Dobbins go down again? Nick Chubb could add veteran depth.

I think Kirk Cousins always has been a 'tease'.

Current Quarterback teases are fascinating.
To me, the biggest tease is Justin Herbert. He's been the starter for the Chargers for six years. He has put up over 4,000 yards in three seasons, won the 2020 Offensive Rookie of the Year, and made two Pro Bowls. Yet his postseason record is 0-3. Playoff losses:
2022: Blew a 27-0 lead to the Jacksonville Jaguars
2024: Threw four interceptions in Houston
2025: Put up 3 points, sacked 6 times in New England.
His playoff passer rating is 64.7. He's thrown two touchdowns to four picks in said three playoff games and has been sacked 13 times.
Kirk Cousins was always a tease wherever he went. Whether it was Washington, Minnesota, or Atlanta.
I think it is too early to call Bo Nix a tease. Jordan Love is very tease-worthy as of right now. I think part of the reason is that Matt LaFleur relies too much on the ground game, which has held him back.
Tua Tagovailoa was a tease until he got exposed last year for having no arm.

From what I am hearing about Tua ... he is having a hip problem he is trying to work through. He will try to get through this season since Miami is paying him but I feel his line is better in Atlanta than Miami
