2026 NFL Free Agency And Transactions
As football fans already know, free agency player movement and trades are the name of the game now, as bad teams try to obtain players that can make them better instantly. The Patriots benefitted the most this previous year. Which teams can benefit the most this year?
The last two seasons alone have produced champions in the Eagles and Seahawks who signed key free agent players to their seasons with Barkley and Darnold. Darnold of course, is the first QB in NFL history to help lead consecutive teams to 14 wins or better seasons. In fact since the 2017 season, three different free agent QBs in Foles, Brady and Darnold have led their teams to a championship, with Stafford leading his team to a championship after coming in via trade.
The Rams today pulled off another significant trade before the start of free agency, obtaining Trent McDuffie from the Chiefs, for draft capital. Can he help the team and Stafford win another championship this decade?
Though Stephon Diggs helped the Patriots reach the SB this past year, he will be released soon. Could the team draft or sign another free agent to replace him?

The Bears trade WR DJ Moore for I believe a second and fifth round pick from the Bills. Some felt the trade was even but others felt Moore wasnt worth the high pick. With Josh Allen throwing to him, Moore might have a great season if he can stay healthy? Drew Dalman's sudden retirement will also impact the Indiana Bear's next season ... had to say that.

Another huge trade on the heels of the Free Agency signing period. Ravens send first round picks for this year and next to the Raiders for Maxx Crosby. They need to try to sign Linderbaum as well so they can continue to pound the ball with Crosby ready to outfight offensive linemen in the 4th quarter of games. Can Crosby stay healthy though? Can Jackson finally lead this team to a SB?

And the Raiders now have 4 first round picks over the next two years (so far, at least).
Add that to Ashton Jeanty and All-Pro Brock Bowers and they have a decent chance at being in the running a few years from now.

With the Raiders ready to release Geno Smith, why not Smith come back to the Jets? He can throw if he can avoid sacks behind their improving line. What other options are out there other than Murray, Tua Tags and Cousins when they are released? Willis is young, but is the team ready to hand him a big contract after only six starts? Its doubtful the Niners will give up Jones, but who knows?JuggernautJ wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2026 1:45 am And the Raiders now have 4 first round picks over the next two years (so far, at least).

Re: 2026 NFL Free Agency And Transactions
And so, two days into the legal tampering window before free agency officially starts, the biggest news wasnt a potential signing, but a trade that got rejected. The Ravens backed out of their deal with the Raiders for Maxx Crosby. Unlike the Packer's team doctor, that was ordered by their GM to pass Brett Favre in 1992, the Ravens doctor failed Crosby's physical.
Was the price for two #1 picks too steep? Were the Ravens not sold on his health or rehab efforts? Something else? Could another team like the Cowboys, Bears or Bills, find a way to get him?
Not happy with the Titans approach during free agency. Signed too many former Giants and Jets players that may or may not, improve the team. At least they didnt sign a center for starting left tackle money like the Raiders did(Linderbaum)
Atlanta signs Tua Tags for the veteran minimum, with Miami paying his full salary. The Dolphins in turn will pay a decent amount to Malik Willis to be their starter. If the Dolphins are smart they will try to run the ball even more until he settles in.
The Chiefs finally get a more explosive piece to their running game signing Kenneth Walker. How quickly he improves as a pass protector for Mahomes remains to be seen. At least the Seahawks keep their speed weapon, re-signing Shaheed.

After losing free agents and failing Crosby for a trade, the Ravens sign Henrickson. Can he stay healthy? Geno Smith returns to the Jets ... I feel he can succeed with protection and healthy wideouts.

Out of curiosity what’s your opinion of the players the Seahawks just lost in free agency, and how well they fit their new rosters?

I like the Eagles getting Woolen. If he can learn from Fangio and play within the team concept, he could have a good year. The Eagles have been quiet so far. Coby Bryant should also play well in Chicago replacing Byard.
Walker I feel, will have a good year in KC if he can stay healthy. Mahomes will start reducing those scrambles and runs he is known for after coming back from surgery.
