Most baffling All Decade choices

Here’s my list of the most baffling All Decade choices please note I didn’t include anyone not already in the Pro Football Hall of Fame

1920s

Hunk Anderson-only played four seasons and had only one All Pro

1930s

Cecil Isbell-only played two seasons in the 1930s

Gaynell Tinsley-also played only two seasons in the 1930s

Frank Cope-again only played two seasons in the 1930s

George Svendsen-only played three seasons in the 1930s

1940s

Byron Whizzer White-only played two seasons in the 1940s

Al Blozis-only played three seasons in the 1940s

Bill Edwards-again only played three seasons in the 1940s

1950s

Joe Fortunato-only played five seasons in the 1950s

1960s

Larry Morris-made no Pro Bowls and had only one All Pro

1980s

Dave Butz-made only one Pro Bowl and had only two All Pros one first team the other second team

Carl Banks-made only one Pro Bowl and had only one All Pro

John Anderson-made no Pro Bowls or had any All Pros

Rickey Jackson should had been in the team, even Chip Banks.

John Turney knows about all these questionable choices. He helped create the All-Mid Decade teams on Pro Football Journal.
The HOF should acknowledge or honor/accept these teams. Thoroughly thought out and sensible ...

John definitely is the master of all-decade.

I'll add another curious one: Rick Upchurch was the 1980s All-Decade kick returner. His final career kick return? 1979.

Maxie Baughan should have gotten the 60's all decade spot over morris 100% Baughan Played the whole decade

Just did a quick search for that; apparently it’s from one year ending in five to the next. (ex: 1995-2005)

I see that one of the guys I nominated a couple years ago for Hall of Very Good who just got in this past year (Wilber Marshall) was on his first team for 85-95, and another player who I could see myself nominating years down the line (Tom Nalen) was the second team center for 95-05.
