Re: Most baffling All Decade choices
John Turney knows about all these questionable choices. He helped create the All-Mid Decade teams on Pro Football Journal.
The HOF should acknowledge or honor/accept these teams. Thoroughly thought out and sensible ...

John definitely is the master of all-decade.
I'll add another curious one: Rick Upchurch was the 1980s All-Decade kick returner. His final career kick return? 1979.

Just did a quick search for that; apparently it’s from one year ending in five to the next. (ex: 1995-2005)Brian wolf wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 10:56 pm John Turney knows about all these questionable choices. He helped create the All-Mid Decade teams on Pro Football Journal.

I see that one of the guys I nominated a couple years ago for Hall of Very Good who just got in this past year (Wilber Marshall) was on his first team for 85-95, and another player who I could see myself nominating years down the line (Tom Nalen) was the second team center for 95-05.
