I published a piece this weekend on a "missing" Sid Luckman touchdown pass from 1943, which would give him 29 and tie him with Erik Kramer's franchise record:

Packers historian Eric Goska was incredibly helpful as I untangled this question about why some portions of PFR show Luckman with two TD passes on 10/10/43 and others show one. The answer is that the play included a lateral (Luckman pass to Siegal, pitch to Geyer, 40 yards, touchdown), and prior to 1950, the QB did not receive the stats for anything that happened after a lateral.

Additionally, the player who scored on a lateral (Geyer in this case), was credited with a rushing touchdown!

(Depends on criteria, etc. etc.)

But yes, true in many ways.
