In honor of Jackie Robinson's birthday today, here is footage of Robinson's long receiving touchdown at Soldier Field against the Bears in the 1941 Chicago College All-Star Game (known by various monikers). I had not seen it until last year, so perhaps others haven't too!

Thanks for posting this. The footage isn't available on this link anymore, but it's brilliant if anyone can find it elsewhere.
What's interesting is that when I've researched Robinson during this time, the newspapers always discuss him as a football player. Rarely is baseball mentioned. The rumor is/was that Halas wanted to sign him after the CASG but the ungentlemanly agreement didn't allow that.
Also noteworthy is that Kenny Washington played in the CASG the previous year. Had Robinson not signed with the Dodger minor league system before the Rams move, I've often wondered if Robinson would have been part of the agreement to get a tryout in order to get a lease on the LA Coliseum.
Robinson, like many pro football players in the 40s-60s, might have been a star player in football, baseball, and/or basketball at the pro level.
