Monday playoff game moved

Post by Citizen »

Because of the California wildfires, Rams-Vikings will now be in Glendale, Ariz. As I understand it, it's the first time this has happened with an NFL playoff game since the 1936 championship game between Green Bay and Washington was moved to the Polo Grounds.

If it's not a downpour in the Coliseum it's something else I guess.

I am just glad the NFL didnt adopt the stupid idea of neutral site conference championship games after the Hamlin-Bills/Bengals game fiasco. The Bengals were robbed of playing the Bills at home in the playoffs--since the regular season game was never resumed-- but beat them in Buffalo anyway.

I'd like to see neutral-site conference championship games. Make them like bowl games in college football. You can have the first two rounds at home stadiums, but neutral-site games would level the playing field. Teams like KC (or Brady-era NE) would have a more difficult time. You'd get a bigger variety of seeds reaching the Super Bowl.

The NFC has had one repeating champion in this century, and they won't have one this year either. I think they have enough variety under the current system.
