Doug Williams is a contributor semifinalist

The Hall just released its list of 25 contributors for consideration for PFHOF 2025, and Doug Williams is on the list after not advancing as a senior. I think he makes more sense here but I've never seen someone in two categories in the same year.

The interesting question that we face in deliberations with Williams, is do we include his playing career when we consider his candidacy? A contributor is someone who is not a player or coach, but has made substantial contributions to pro football. Part of his contributions were as a trailblazing player.

I can never take this category seriously until Jack Vainisi and Bernie Parrish are on this list. Doug Williams? How about Marlin Briscoe? Art Rooney Jr still gets more support than Dick Haley.
It wont matter, Kraft will get elected this year.

Why cant Byron Donzis, the inventor of the flak jacket, make this list? Imagine the numerous player injuries that his jacket has prevented?

Hasn't happened yet. That will come up if he makes the final nine. Then, the committee will need to make that decision.

BW: most baffling to me is the fact they put a bunch of tv people over guys like Briscoe Haley Murchison Parrish Vanisi

Aside from Robinson, these are like the most reprehensible people associated with the NFL. And what on earth is Eddie Robinson on the ballot for?

honestly Bryan i have zero idea why robinson is on the ballot to begin with since he was mainly a college coach for many many years, also could i know why mccaskey is reprehensible could you explain to me why the other three Adams Berman Siwoff are also reprehensible
