I think I know why Roger Craig isn’t in Canton he appears to have been overshadowed by Joe Montana and Jerry Rice plus his rushing stats aren’t that great now I will admit Roger Craig was no Walter Payton he’s below 10000 yards which shows you much the 49ers relied on Jerry Rice

I feel Craig is deserving. A knee injury in his eighth season affected the rest of his career but he did everything, including catching and blocking. Good postseason numbers as well and could have easily been MVP of the 85' and 89' SB games except for guys named Joe and Jerry ...

I recently watched an interview with Montana who said "None of us can believe that Roger Craig isn't in the HOF. We just don't understand it." That's likely not an exact quote, but that's pretty much what he said in very clear terms.

He's another one of those guys - if you were watching football at the time, you just kind of figured he'd be in the HOF after retiring.
