I'm sorry if this already was a thread, but curious to see if anyone ever rolled up their sleeves and actually set one up!

Much good to pick from!

You got Eagles '78-thru-'81, Rams '97-thru-'99, and Chiefs 2001-thru-2005!

Without digging in, it seems a nice enough amount of starters from each of the three.

EDIT - Eagles '76-thru-'82

Bruce, Carmichael at WR, Gonzalez TE

Holmes over Faulk and Montgomery but he won it all with Faulk

Warner at QB, for Vermeil believing in him, though just two seasons

I have files of these for coaches -- Shotty, Knox, Vermeil, etc

hardest part is 1 year enough (Warner? Faulk, etc?) His 3 years with Rams makes it hard
if 1 year is allowed then would make changes

G-Brian Watters
T-Orlando Pace
T-Willie Roaf
TE-Tony G
QB-Jaws
FB-Tony Richardson
RB-Holmes
WR-Carmichael
WR-Ike Bruce (hurt 2 years, tho)

DE-Kevin Carter
DE-Carl Hairston
DT-D'Marco Farr
NT-Charlie Johnson
MLB-Bill Bergey
OLB-John Bunting
OLB-Roman Phifer
CB-Herm Edwards
CB-Todd Lyght
SS-Randy Logan
FS-Keith Lyle

I will say that, with the obvious exception of Guy Morriss, this is a fantastic offensive line. The rest of the roster isn't nearly as good, IMO. I think it demonstrates how great Vermeil was in turning around 3 franchises without the benefit of getting a boatload of elite talent through the draft. He kind of made everything work with odds and ends.

I get the "1 year enough" part. I associate Vermeil with the Eagles players...he was there the longest and many of the players were there for most of his tenure. As much as I love Priest Holmes, I would put Montgomery at HB simply because he was the workhorse for Vermeil for so long. But I think Holmes and Faulk were better. Same thing with Jaworski....Warner and Green were much better IMO but Jaworski grew up with Vermeil.

It makes sense with Jaws because he and Vermeil were joined at the hip to improve the Eagles, yet the story of Warner doesnt begin without Vermeil bringing him to the team in 1998. Vermeil could sense that this was an underdog with potential and Kurt thrived once Martz turned him into an NFL ready QB.

For OLB I would put Jerry Robinson over John Bunting. And in a 3-4 scheme I would add Frank LeMaster at ILB.

Though Bruce was a star and asset for Vermeil, catching the game winning TD pass in the SB, Kennison for KC was Vermeils' most consistent pass catcher other than Carmichael and Gonzalez. Kennison by a cat-hair over Bruce ...

yeah, as a peak player, absolutely, but under Vermeil a couple of years inside ... didn't know what to do
with him ... could have just picked a "LBer" I suppose
