Hey Guys,
Do any of you know what the goal post dimensions were during the 1939 NFL season? I'm looking primarily for the height of the goal posts, from the ground, and from the crossbar. Thanks for any information that you can give me.
Sincerely,

Goalpost Dimensions
Re: Goalpost Dimensions
In 1892, when William “Pudge” Heffelfinger became the first known football player to be paid to play the game, the rule book stated, “In the middle of the lines forming the ends of the field, the goal-posts are erected, and should be 18 feet 6 inches apart, with a cross-bar 10 feet from the ground. The posts should project several feet above the cross-bar.”

The origins of the goal posts in American Football were a crossbar of 10 feet high (3.05 meters) off the ground, 18.5 feet wide (5.64 meters) and 10 feet tall (4.572 meters).
