Some notable free agent signings. Ezekial Elliot will now join the Patriots and Dalvin Cook signs with the Jets.
It will be interesting to see if Elliot has any gas left in the tank and can get to 10,000 yards rushing for his career. With Hopkins at receiver signing with the Titans, Derrick Henry could see less stacked boxes as well and could put up another huge season. Will it be enough to put the Titans in the playoffs? Could this be his last season in Nashville? Mark Ingram is closing in as well but hasnt signed anywhere yet for the upcoming season. According to Sports Illustrated, he has retired but we will see ...

Active leading rushers

Henry -- 8335 yrds -- 78 TDs
Elliot -- 8,262 -- 68 TDs
Ingram -- 8,111 -- 65 TDs

Melvin Gordon, Nick Chubb, Latavius Murray and Dalvin Cook are the next men up, but it will be at least 2-3 seasons before they approach the 10,000 yard club. Chubb is the one to watch. He has the offensive line in Cleveland but will be a free agent soon and will he continue to get quality carries with Watson at QB? This year will determine if the Browns will continue to commit to him for the future. Great season or not, he still may go to a contender. Watson has to prove himself this year with that crazy contract.

I hope Elliot does well in NE. They will need all the help they can get in a competitive division. Early in his career, he looked like a sure HOF type player but problems away from football and the bright spotlight and expectations in Dallas may have taken their toll. Dallas went away from the run and he hasnt been the same.

With Cook sharing carries with Breece Hall, could be an exciting year for the Jets but will the offensive line develop? The spotlight will be on them to run the ball better and protect Rodgers.

The offensive line is really worrying me...seems like every day the practice report is subpar with the offensive line really getting run over. Granted they are going up against a top 5 NFL defense, but the Jets o-line this year has got to be at worst average. A below average line can sink this season. We cannot afford an injury to Rodgers.

I like the Cook signing. I know a lot of the analytics folks are talking of a Cook decline but he's still an effective player and head and shoulders above Abanikanda and Michael Carter. Hall will likely not be his true dynamic old self until 2024. Dalvin Cook allows us to ease Breece Hall back him and not asking him to do too much so soon after a major injury.

Hopefully the Jets can find veteran linemen off the waiver wire to help with depth in case of injuries but thats every team. Rodgers throwing to Cook could be very effective.

Titans could be in trouble if Burks is hurt. Better find another receiver, fast.

I still cant believe Jason Peters hasnt signed on with a team yet. Long in the tooth sure, but he could help out the Jets or Titans on the line. A smart team will snatch him up.

Big supporter of this...the Jets need to bring him in. They have a window here to do something and you need as much depth and experience on the offensive line as possible
