Basically the opposite of 75_75_78_79 and the “Weakest ever 10-win-or-more playoff-participant” thread
i’m looking for the strongest playoff teams that did not win 11 games

1970 Lions (10-4):

They had four Pro Bowlers, but they finished second in points for and fewest points allowed. They also finished second in yards allowed. They had eight wins by ten points or more, and they beat the playoff-bound Bengals, 49ers, and Raiders (as well as the Cardinals and Rams, teams that had playoff aspirations at the time).

10 wins regular season? 1988 San Francisco 49ers (10-6). One of those losses (against Phoenix) came in a game they should have easily won and just blew a big lead. They still had the whole gang that went on to dominate in 1989 & 1990. And they won the Super Bowl.
Or do you mean 10 wins + the playoffs? Then I'd go with the 2000 St. Louis Rams (10-6). They were essentially the same team as the 1999 Super Bowl champs and 2001 Super Bowl runners-up. They had a killer offense. They just didn't come through when it counted most.

Not sure if it means anything but still an interesting bit of trivia...I believe Super Bowl IX is the only non-strike Super Bowl in which neither participant won at least 11 games. I would take the postseason 1974 Steelers over any other 10 win playoff team. A matchup of 88 Niners vs. 74 Steelers would be fascinating, too.
