FROM DONORA, PA ; A STEEL SUBURB SOUTH OF PITTSBURGH
1. Arnold Galiffa-All American at West Point; tried after his four years to make it in the NFL with the New York Giants; a hit from Frank "Bucko" Kilroy put an end to his hopes.
2. Deacon Dan Towler-One of the first great power running backs who played three years with the Los Angeles Rams.
UP THE ALLEGHENY-NATRONA HEIGHTS
3. Cookie Gilchrist-The first big power back in the American Football League; played with the Buffalo Bills in the 1964 Championship Game; later traded to the Denver Broncos; led the AFL in rushing twice and in touchdowns three times; previously played in Canada.
4. Dick (Little Mo) Modzelewski-played one year with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who traded him to the New York Giants; became the tackle on the first notable defensive line in the NFL; spent the last two years as a reserve with the Cleveland.
5. Ed (Big Mo) Modzelewski-a running back for a brief time with the Cleveland Browns in the mid-fifties.
Both of the Modzelewski brothers played at Maryland.

6. Jim Kelley-played college ball at Miami of Florida; played briefy with the Los Angeles Express of the USFL; together with Dan Marino and John Elway were known as the class of 83; one of the games best; played in four consecutive Super Bowls for the Buffalo Bills from 1990 to 1993.
