The Eagles biggest win of the season was the 17 to 10 game at the Meadowlands. The Giants of course went on to win the Super Bowl.
There were some key points to the game.
DeSean Jackson made a great 50 yard catch giving the Eagles the ball at the Giants 45. This took the Eagles out from deep in their own territory. After the play, he foolishly taunted the Giants in front of their bench. For some reason, the officials negated the play and put Philadelphia back in trouble. Since this goofy behavior came after the play, it should have been a dead ball foul. Nevertheless, it does illustrate how unprofessional behavior can hurt.
Jackson punt return in the second quarter reminded me of his winning return in the 2010 game.
Two plays really hurt the Eagles.
--Eli Manning was able to escape a sack which led to a field goal just before the half. This cut the Eagles led to 10 to 3. He did the same thing in the 2009 game at the Meadowlands.
--Aaron Ross' End Zone interception in the third quarter prevented the Eagles from putting the game away earlier.
The forced fumble on Eli Manning from Jason Babin and the recovery by Derek Landry was the biggest play of the season. A great run from Shady McCoy iced the game.
