We saw lately on TV the famous Body Bag Game on Monday Night Football in November of 1990. The Eagle defense did not stop the Washington Redskins; they annihilated them. Standard procedure that night was seeing Washington players carted off the field. A late touchdown drive against a prevent defense made this game seem closer that it was. I do not like teams doing that. Either go for broke or just run. Philadelphia 28 Washington 14.
Despite the Body Bag Game, the best performance of 1990 was against the New York Giants in Week 11 at Veterans Stadium. The The Giants won all ten previous games for a perfect record. After a slow start, the Eagles had won four straight and were 6-4. The teams were even at halftime with Philadelphia leading due to a missed extra point 14 to 13. Roger Ruzek kicked a field goal and the Eagles led 17 to 13 after three frames. The fourth quarter had the best 30 seconds of football we fans will ever see. Randall Cunningham capped a drive with a six yard touchdown pass to Fred Barnett. On the first play after the kickoff, Reggie White tipped a Phil Simms' pass. Byron Evans caught it and raced 24 yards for a touchdown. After that, the game was wrapped up. Eagles 31 Giants 13.

Yep, the Redskins got their revenge in the playoffs, not allowing a Philly TD in the Vet ... Ryan would be fired, though Kotite couldnt motivate the team to do any better ...
