To the best of your knowledge, when were bennies (uppers) declared an illegal substance by the NFL? Also, when were anabolic steroids declared an illegal substance by the NFL?

1986 for steriods (not sure on uppers, they were illegal--unless prescribed---but in 1973 chargers got busted because a DocJoeZagorski wrote:Hey Guys,

was giving them out--so not sure....may have something to do with drug schedules, etc...
