Would it be too easy to assume that its down to just '74 and '75 being that they were his lone 1st-team All Pro years? As for the following three seasons that were simple Pro Bowl appearances, but each one being 2nd-team All Pro, do any of you think that he should have been 1st-team for any of those? 1978 could have a case being that he propelled his team to a winning season/playoff berth.
And his rookie year of '69...he was an AFL All Pro, right? If so, that would be his only such accolade under Paul Brown. Why so, do you think? Simply he playing much better with his new team while, at the same time, starting to be more generally recognized?
What's Bill Bergey's best-ever season?

Though tackle numbers can be scewed and overrated, it would be nice to know Bergey's tackle numbers over his career. Pro Football Journal had him rated in their Top 20 MLB-ILB's of All-time, though it hasnt translated to the HOF yet. He would have stayed a Bengal had he not flirted with going to the WFL. Another quality player that Paul Brown gets rid of that could have helped the team win even more games. The Eagles helped their team though
