In 1970, 43 year old George Blanda was the AFC Player of the Year. Tomorrow, 43 year old Tom Brady’s Bucs will face 42 year old Drew Brees’s Saints. I think calling this matchup the Blanda Bowl would he an apt tribute to a legendary player on the 50th anniversary of his tremendous season.

I loved Blanda. Among other things, he looked like my favorite uncle, Uncle Johnny from Youngstown.

I'm trying to imagine Brady or Brees playing linebacker, like ol' George once did for the Bears.
