It would be cool to know if there has ever been a first TD scored in fewer seconds from the start of the game than the Browns’ defensive touchdown scored just 14 seconds into their playoff game against the Steelers tonight.

28-0 after 1st Q!! 35-10 halftime!! Visions of the ’89 opener dancing in my head for a bit!

I first thought of the first play from scrimmage, SBXLVIII; but that was a safety, not a TD. Adding more ’80s reminiscing from previous paragraph, this here 2020 Steeler campaign similar-enough to ’83! Only real difference a 9-2 start instead of 11-0.

It would be interesting to list all the defensive TDs scored on opening KOs. In '64 Cleveland's Roger Shoals recovered a fumble for a score on the opening KO vs the Eagles.

Big Ben started this game terrible. He looked like Cam Newton watching that fumble on the ground before the Browns recovered-scored ...

Didn't Charles Romes of the Bills score on a fumbled kickoff in the 1981 Wild Card game?
