PFRA 1964 Buffalo Bills Book Project

We are pleased to announce that we have come to an agreement with McFarland & Company Publishing for the fourth book in the PFRA’s Great Teams in Pro Football History Series. The third book in the series- The 1951 Los Angeles Rams: Profiles of the NFL's First West Coast Champions will be published by McFarland in 2021.



The fourth book in the series will cover the 1964 Buffalo Bills and will be published in 2024. 2024 will be the 60th Anniversary of the Bills' 20-7 victory over the San Diego Chargers in the 1964 AFL Championship Game at storied War Memorial Stadium (The Rockpile). Led by Head Coach Lou Saban and Hall of Fame Owner Ralph C. Wilson Jr., the 1964 Bills roster included a number of outstanding players: Jack Kemp, Cookie Gilchrist, Billy Shaw, Elbert Dubenion, Tom Sestak, Mike Stratton, Stew Barber, George Saimes, and Booker Edgerson



I have agreed to be the lead editor for the 1964 Bills book project. Our book on the 1964 Bills will be a team effort with a group of interested PFRA members writing and editing the book.


We are currently seeking PFRA members that would be interested in serving as contributing authors and/or editors for the Bills book project.
