70s NFLers who later played in the CFL
A few of the more prominent ones that come to mind are Terry Metcalf, Billy "White Shoes" Johnson, Fred Biletnikoff, and Vince Ferragamo. I'm sure there are some others.College "stars" who come to mind include Johnny Rodgers, Anthony Davis (didn't he start his pro career in the WFL) and David Overstreet.

Jerry Tagge won the starting job for the B.C. Lions three years after washing out in Green Bay.

QB Joe Barnes, who played in 1974 for the Bears, like Hufnagel had a long CFL career after with many teams.JohnR wrote:A couple QBs come to mind; Clint Longley & John Hufnagel

Tom Cousineau played four years after spurning the Bills as the top pick in '79. They ended up trading his rights to the Browns in '83, but he was pretty much a flop, lasting only three seasons.

thanks for the replies and I remember all those 70s guys playing in the CFL. Barnes and Hufangel had long careers and I believe each won at least one Grey Cup.

I could be wrong but I believe the Montreal Alouettes had Ferragamo, Johnson, Overstreet and Scott on the same team but managed just 3 wins

They also had Keith Gary, a first round DE drafted by the Steelers. After 1981, they all returned to the NFL.vikingsfan1963 wrote:I could be wrong but I believe the Montreal Alouettes had Ferragamo, Johnson, Overstreet and Scott on the same team but managed just 3 wins
