1941 Bears Pants

One for the uniform historians - for 1941 at least the Bears appear to have had a pinkish stripe up the inside of their pants.

It's fairly obvious in these two Warnecke & Cranston colour photos that appeared in the Sunday News (30-Nov-1941) but on careful inspection is also visible in several black & white photos from the 1941 season too.

It appears to have been for one season only (first year with white pants) as it's not obvious in later photos.

No idea for the reason ??

Probably some sort of elastic or material that is more flexible...I doubt it's pink, maybe tan, canvas color, something like that. But definitely some sort of functionality built-in to pants
