PFRA Elections - Update

Certain recent events have resulted in the necessity to reopen the nomination process for two PFRA officer positions. First, Lee Elder has resigned the office of Secretary effective immediately. PFRA President Ken Crippen has appointed Dave Burch to serve out the remainder of Mr. Elder's term, which ends as of Dec 31, 2019. Mr. Burch has accepted the appointment, and has advised the board of directors that he will also run for the office of Secretary in the upcoming election, and therefore has asked that his name be transferred from the ballot for the Treasurer position and placed on the ballot for the Secretary position.

As a result of this activity, the board has asked that I announce that the two offices in question (Treasurer and Secretary) will be reopened for nomination for a period of 30 days. Anyone wishing to enter--or nominate someone for--the race for either office should let me know via email at odoasgih@aol.com, or via the messaging feature on this forum. Nominations will be received up to and no later than midnight (EST) Sunday June 23.

The board has also asked that I advise the membership that anyone wishing to have his name placed on the ballot for a PFRA office must be a paid member of the association.

Just a reminder that nominations for the PFRA offices of Treasurer and Secretary will be accepted no later than June 23.

So far, the Elections Committee has received only nomination for each of the positions.

I will provide an update with a complete list of all nominees for all offices after June 23.

If you wish to run--or wish to nominate someone else--for an office, please contact me via email at Odosagih@aol.com, or through the Private Message feature on the forum.
