Watching the Rams in the next couple years will be interesting. They are indeed a very talented team (perhaps the most talented team in the league) but at the same time they only are going to have a two year window to win it all. I think after next season the team will begin to fall apart as all those stars are going to come up for contract and there is no way they are going to sign the majority of them.

Also watching the Super Bowl made me wonder if Sean McVay is really the man for the job long term. Belichick just outcoached him in virtually every way possible to the point that a team that scored 550 points in the regular season only managed a field goal in the Super Bowl. McVay was put into a very good situation when he came to the Rams and I'm not sure how he is going to be when he no longer has the most talented team in the league at his disposal.

Anyways it will be interesting to watch the Rams in the next two or three seasons and see how they respond next year after this offensive debacle against a far less talented Patriots team in the big game. And how well they are able to keep their team together.

I think it is clear Gurley had some sort of injury and he was unsuccessful at working thru it. I have to go back and rewatch the game to decide if this was a defensive struggle or two offenses that failed to click. I don't think this will hurt the Rams in the long run.

I thought the Saints were the best NFC team this season. They have some extra motivation to get to the Super Bowl next season. If Drew Brees can hold up for one more year, they may get to the Super Bowl next year.

Wade Phillips did his job. McVay did not. Have a Plan B. Come up with something.

Either McVay is not that good, or Goff is not that good. If Goff is that easily confused, he is going to be taken to the woodshed now until he figures it out.

The Rams didn't blow a 28-3 lead yesterday; the Rams held the Pats to three points until seven minutes remained in the game, and held the Patriots to 13 points. The problems with the Rams yesterday were with their offense; their defense did OK I thought. This may be the most atypical Super Bowl since Super Bowl V in that both teams played exactly the opposite to the way they played in the regular season and the opposite to what we expected. What I am saying is, in 1970, the Colts and Cowboys were strong teams and got to the Super Bowl and for the most part just made mistake after mistake and tried to give the game away to each other every chance they could. Super Bowl LIII was two very strong offensive teams who really couldn't put a drive together for most of the game.

I'm not sure if Jared Goff is their long-term solution at QB.

Before the Rams SORT of got things going in the 4th quarter I was actually starting to think this might have been one of the worst SB QB performances ever. Like Craig Morton/Norris Weese level bad.

When the Cowboys beat the Dolphins 24-3 in Super Bowl VI, I don't recall talk of Bob Griese not being the Dolphins long-term solution at QB. The Dolphins were beaten far worse than the Rams were yesterday, and went undefeated the next year.

Billy Kilmer is a strong candidate for worst Super Bowl QB performance in Super Bowl VII. During the game and for the next year, it was said "If only Sonny Jurgensen had been healthy and available." This was from not only Redskin fans, but football fans in general.

"The Rams moving forward".... they weren't doing that too well last night. But their punting was excellent.
