Not necessarily a "who wins" topic. Just about everyone in here, myself included, place the former as being better, but still a worthy convo to me. Two teams historically looked back upon if however '85 Bears given quite more kudos. Simply a discussion on how that 'Greatest Show' would match against that '46' (I think they'd have their moments, being able to do some scoring on them), but also how the Rams' D would do against Bears' O. Though the '99 Rams-D is better than most give them credit for, I see they having more trouble with Chicago's (also overlooked) O than their own O would have with Bears-D. StL would have to somehow open up a big early lead on Chi to have a chance, enabling their D to play dishonest.
Thoughts?
'85 Bears VS '99 Rams
Re: '85 Bears VS '99 Rams
it is an interesting thought. One of the advantages I think the '85 Bears had in the 1985 season is that it was simply a scheme offenses weren't prepared for just yet. If you brought the same kind of talent to the table that the Bears had but just place them in the 1999 season I don't think they are nearly as dominating.
But if you just compare these two teams relative to their competition than the Bears are far far better.
