Eagles rolling out the Banner on the Opening Thursday Night against Atlanta. Again with the two Monday Night games that first week, instead of simply just one real good matchup.

I thought bills at Ravens week one is interesting in that was the exact opening day matchup 2 years ago. I wonder how often 2 out of 3 years a repeat non-division opening day matchup happens.

Seahawks played the Saints Week 1 two years in a row in '03 and '04.

Patriots...just one MNF game! Oct 29 at Buffalo. Now when was the last time a SB-participant from the year before only get a single Monday Nighter?
They must know something we don’t...that Brady will call it quits this off-season.
EDIT - wow! Eagles just one MNF game as well!

I counted 3 Sunday night games and a Thursday night game, so that's 5 prime time games - I don't think Monday night has the same significance as it used to. Personally, I watch a lot more Sunday night games and only see Thursday and Monday night games on the rare occasions I go out as I don't have ESPN.

The Sunday Night game has eclipsed Monday Night in significance, and it happened when the Monday Night game moved to ESPN.

Yeah, I guess Monday Night has lost its luster; yes, especially when it left ABC.
I’m liking the Vikings at Rams Thursday game Sept 27! Both teams now good as Rams are now back in LA; brings back a bit of nostalgia. A shame Vikings (and Lions) aren’t back outside.
A month later on Sun Oct 28th you got Eagles ‘at’ Jags in London! Correct me if wrong but seems to be the best yet London matchup based on both teams records from the year before. And very well may, by then, be the best-ever such matchup going by both teams’ current records going into the game.

The Packers have 10 noon kickoffs (flexes pending), their most since 2007. I guess that's what a 7-9 season buys you.

gah. Hate that we're starting on the road on MNF. Always a tough spot. But up until last year we had something like 6 consecutive afternoon home openers so can't really complain.

Weird that they were rigid about the MNF game airing on Christmas Eve night in Week 16, seeing as Saturday or even a "matinee" slot on Monday might bring more viewers.
