Stan Brocks, Tarik Glenn, and Willie Anderson

Did any of these three deserve any more accolades than they received. I always thought Glenn and Anderson were so good at their job they could have garned way more Pro Bowl and All Pro selections than they did.
I didn't get to see Stan Brock play (although I play to pay attention to him when I watch some old games I have involving the Saints), but he was a fixture in New Orleans for a zillion years at right tackle. Never got one All Pro selection or went to a single Pro Bowl though. Did he just slip through the cracks all those years? Or was he never really that great in the first place?

Glenn went to 3 pro bowls at the end of his career, albeit sometimes as an alternate. I'm not sure how many Pro Bowl and All Pro selections you think Glenn could have gotten considering his AFC OT competition at times included Boselli, Ogden, Walter Jones, Roaf, etc. Glenn was a very reliable LT for those Colts teams, and a guy you could win with, but he didn't dominate the game like those other great OTs.
Its the same story with Anderson. He even had 3 consensus first team All Pro selections, and that was mainly due to the AP differentiating between LT and RT, so I'm not sure how Anderson could have earned more Pro Bowl/All Pro accolades when the AFC OT competition is so strong.
Awhile back there was a PFRA article which IIRC was an "All-Time Team" of players who were very good but never made the pro bowl. I don't recall if Stan Brock was on that team, but he would have been a good selection. The Saints were bad for the first half of his career, and the stalwart NFC All-Pro tackles were Zimmerman and Slater. I think in Brock's case, if there wasn't any distinction between LT and RT, he would lose out to the various LTs since he was an RT. And it was kind of bad luck that when Brock switched conferences by joining the Chargers at the end of his career, he had to deal with Zimmerman who had joined the Broncos.

Awhile back there was a PFRA article which IIRC was an "All-Time Team" of players who were very good but never made the pro bowl.
This would be an interesting read. Does anyone remember what issue this was in?

Thanks for digging that up. I think we unofficially added Reggie Williams to the team since it was short an OLB.
