Rocky had a Bull Mastiff named Butkus who was Sylvester Stallone's pet and appeared in Rocky I & II.
He was credited as "Butkus Stallone."

A google search yields the following:

"In the late 1980s, Nitschke owned an automobile dealership in Green Bay. He performed several of his own TV commercials in which he brought out his dog, 'Butkus', named in honor of his Chicago Bears nemesis, Dick Butkus (who like Nitschke, played for the Illinois Fighting Illini)."

I did a similar search, but only learned that Nobis' dog was named Rosie.
