When I saw Tony Latone it made me thing of Hamer...problem is only 4 years, but possible 1000 yard rusher in perhaps 19 games...
post-season honors in 3 of 4 years..
just food for thought

John, nice call on Hamer.
Given the Breaker Boys book, Latone being on the HOF ballot in 63 and 64 and later considered as a senior candidate, quotes from the likes of Red Grange, etc., I was actually a little surprised that when I looked at Pro Football reference, the first thing I thought was wow - the hard data reminds me a lot of Hamer. I'm scheduled to have an article about Hamer coming out in the next issue of Coffin Corner (so I'm not too biased ), but hopefully that will help put Hamer on folks radar at least for consideration as well.
