CFL statistics online

In the midst of all the Super Bowl hype, it's difficult not to think of... the Canadian Football League, of course. For those who haven't seen it, we've been able to put all the known CFL statistics online at StatsCrew.com. We've recently added historical CFL All-Star information to individual player pages as well. You can find the CFL section at http://www.statscrew.com/football/l-CFL

A couple fun pages include those for the recently-mentioned, on this forum, Tobin Rote: http://www.statscrew.com/football/stats/p-rotetob001
and Doug Flutie - http://www.statscrew.com/football/stats/p-flutidou001

I'd love to get some feedback on Stats Crew's football section. Anything else you'd like to see?

Outstanding body of work. Hope it continues.

But - why are the Ottawa Renegades not entered in the opening listing of CFL Teams?

Thank you for taking a look! I found a small coding issue that was keeping the Renegades, Concordes and a handful of other teams, most of them pre-CFL, off the front page. We've made the correction. In addition, our system allows for the display of historic logos on a year-by-year basis. We've incorporated them for Montreal, and expect to add more shortly.

As with anything good, there will always be glitches. That is how good gets better.

A great example to follow is Pro Football Archives.

Why not be the best of the CFL and become the go-to site for that group?

The CFL has been a point of emphasis for us because despite the league's long history, finding anything more than a few years of stats for the league was next to impossible for so long. Now decades of league history are available, not to mention details on thousands of player careers. We've also been able to incorporate stats from other pro leagues such as the USFL, WFL and even the XFL. I think we have some really fun things planned with NFL stats, too.

We want to really make it a researcher-friendly site. Any comments, suggestions or criticisms are welcome.

All CFL historical team logos should now be up. Though the league's lineup has remained largely the same, you can see just how much the aesthetics have changed by looking at a season such as 1966 - http://www.statscrew.com/football/l-CFL/y-1966

Barcelona Dragons became the F.C. Barcelona Dragons in 2002. Not a huge difference but if you want to be 'official'. Also for the logo you have for them you would need to add the F.C. version (would be the same but with F.C. in front of Barcelona).

Also, noticed many players pages have their high school, which I think should always be included. So I just quickly looked up all the players I played against in youth/middle school/high school and you have the others but Skyler Fulton's and Kyle Basler's high school's aren't listed.

Skyler Fulton - Capital (Olympia, WA)
Kyle Basler - Elma

Also, since I coached him at a camp, Matt Johnson's high school is Tumwater.

Great catch on Barcelona. We've corrected the official team name for 2002 and 2003 and added the logo as well as the high schools for the other players you mentioned. Thank you!
