I saw all kinds of headlines proclaiming that Sean McVay is the youngest head coach in NFL history. (A couple did qualify that by saying "modern" NFL history.

In 1920, there were 12 teams in the APFA and 9 head head coaches younger than McVay.

Curly Lambeau was 21 when he became head coach of the Packers in 1919 and he was 23 when they joined the APFA, a year before it became the NFL.

The same "modern" application was used when Art Shell became head coach of the Raiders, since Fritz Pollard had also served as an HC during the 20's.

During the Falcons game the announcers pointed out - accurately - that Matt Ryan had the highest yards per attempt ever for a QB with over 400 attempts. But the graphic flashing on the screen excluded the qualifier saying that his 9.21 was the highest in NFL history.
