Re: Reggie Bush, 2016
"Bush has minus-3 yards on 12 carries.
According to Pro Football Reference, Bush could become the first non-quarterback to finish the season with negative yardage on double-digit carries since John Adams in 1961."

And just so we don't pick on poor Reggie, any other amazingly bad single season records you'd care to mention?

Vinny Testaverde's 35 INT's in 1988, still an NFL record.

As a frustrated Bills fan, I'll pick on Reggie some more. He was thrown for losses of 8, 6, and 10 yards, all inside the red zone, and the Bills didn't score a single point on any of those drives. Dan Carpenter twice missed field goals and the Bills turned it over on downs. Those two missed FG's may well have cost the Bills wins in their first and most recent losses of the year. (They were down 10-7 to Baltimore and probably would have tied the game- if not taken the lead- if Reggie hadn't been caught for a 6 yard loss. They lost 13-7. His most recent 8 yard loss came on the first possession of OT against Miami. If Carpenter makes a shorter FG, Miami still gets the ball with a chance to tie or win.)

Bob Timberlake, kicker for the 1965 Giants, was 1-15 in FG attempts.
Paul Hornung was 12-38 in FG's for the 1964 Packers. As I have pointed out here in the past if you review all the games that the misses occurred, and the distances of the misses, you could argue he single-handedly cost the Packers at least a tie for the Western Division title.

Not to mention getting trapped for a safety in each of his first three games.

Gary Marangi (1976) and Kim McQuilken (1974, 75, 76 take your pick) always come to mind.

I see your Marnagi and McQuilken and raise you the Browns' Don Gault. After going 1-3 for 23 yards with one interception at San Francisco while replacing an injured Bill Nelsen, he started the next game--at home against the Steelers. His first half performance was so bad that he never saw the field again--ever: 1 for 16 for 44 yards and two interceptions for a QB rating of 6.25

Steeler punter Harry Newsome had six punts blocked during the 1988 season.
