With all the talk about Ezekiel Elliott as potential rookie of the year, and possibly even the MVP, I was wondering if a rookie had ever been named MVP?

I found that Jim Brown was named MVP in his rookie season of 1957. Has any other rookie accomplished the feat?

Obviously this is a case of what-if, but ...

The NFL started its official MVP award in 1938. If the league had started the award a year earlier, there's a good chance that Sammy Baugh would've won it.

Bob Waterfield and Earl Campbell were voted MVP as rookies by sources other than AP.

Parker Hall, 1939 was a Rookie MVP
