Dan Henning's best year as an OC

Post by 74_75_78_79_ »

One of his championship seasons under Gibbs? Or helping Panthers to the Super Bowl-period in 2003 (or '05, even better year statistically at least). Or 'wild-cat'-ing Miami from 1-15 to 11-5 division-titleist in '08? Or some less-obvious year?

I guess I'll say toss-up between '05 with Panthers and '08 with Miami. Certainly not his time in DC. Yes Dan did play a role in both SB-wins (and remember, he was not at helm when Raiders destroyed them), but obviously too much talent at his disposal along with other coaches present such as Bugel and, of course, Gibbs.

Would any of you consider his OC-work for Jets in 2000 under Groh (MNF comeback vs Mia) at least worthy of mention?

'93 with Detroit?

Yes, I thought he was good with the Jets considering Testaverde became sloppy again and Keyshawn Johnson was gone.

Henning also was on-hand for the 'flashlight' game (Chrebet's 'revenge' on Keyshawn).
