A while back (sometime in 2015, I'd guess) somebody posted a link to some excellent footage of the 1929 game between the Packers and Giants, which turned out to be essentially the championship game for that season. I've looked through the archives for just about all of 2015, but can't seem to find it. Does anybody else remember that footage, or did I really come across it somewhere else?

Ah, thanks! I've been thinking about that footage lately, and wanting to see it again.

And Lavvie Dilweg was a U.S. Congressman, but not until after he retired from football.

Interesting to see the Packers sometimes shifting from the Notre Dame Box into the T formation at times. I didn't know they ever did that. The shift usually went the other way.

It was great to see Friedman - I wouldn’t have thought I’d ever see game footage of him. I was lost on the Packers though. Were they even wearing numbers? Can anyone point out a play where Blood or Dilweg got the ball or where Hubbard made a block or tackle? Thanks!

Some of the Packers' numbers were fairly discernible at times, but not often, and it's hard to see much continuity in the film. The Giants' offense seems to dominate the footage, yet the Packers won, 20-6. Blood scored their third touchdown, but that's not in the film, although it seems that the missed extra point attempt after that TD is shown.
