thanks, though just my opinions I try and justisfy the picks. I realize the posts are genting longer, with more details. I am going to go back and add more HMs to the first set of articles with more stats to make them kind of even out. I have lots of info, but back then, just wanted to pet "post".JuggernautJ wrote:Great selections, as always.
Can you imagine lining up against those linebackers?! Bobby Bell, Willie Lanier and Derrick Thomas ('cuz Bell, Lanier & Jim Lynch weren't awesome enough)... I would be hard pressed to think of a club with a better historical linebacking crew. As good as, yes. Better... maybe not.
Sad to see none of the late 60's-70s RBs made the cut (Ed Podolack, Robert Holmes, Wendell Hayes) but heck, if there isn't room for the Nigerian Nightmare then there just isn't room.
It would've been fun to see Mike Livingston as the backup quarterback... just to be ironic.
These lists are good fun and very informative.
Thanks again for doing them.
Those defensive backs are one of the best groups we've seen on one of these career year teams too!Can you imagine lining up against those linebackers?
