I have all the Coffin Corners since 2006. I haven't read many articles from prior years. What are some great articles that should be read?

One I'd recommend is "Pottsville: The Discarded Championship," which appeared way back in 1981 or '82.

Bob Carroll's bio of Gina Marchetti was good, too

I've found and read a lot of great articles just adding "pfra" to the end of a google search (although for the eras I search, pfra articles are usually pretty high among the search results anyway). My short list would definitely include these two as I find myself referring back to them most often:

Vol. 4, No. 11 (1982) All-Pros of the Early NFL by John Hogrogian: http://profootballresearchers.com/archi ... 11-114.pdf

Vol. 14, No. 2 (1992) Statistical Leaders of the ‘20s By Bob Gill http://www.profootballresearchers.org/a ... 02-453.pdf

Bob Gill's 20's, 30's, and 40's stuff is what I find most useful and what I found most interesting when I went through past CC articles, years back.

Yes! I can't believe I didn't think of this one right away. John Hogrogian's discovery of those all-pro teams picked by the Green Bay Press-Gazette might be the biggest find made by anybody in the PFRA, ever. I remember how excited I was to read it way back when it first appeared.

I like the article, "Why the AAFC Cleveland Browns Were the Best Team in Football From 1946 Through 1949," by Andy Piascik. Andy makes a very strong case showing why the Browns were better than any other football team for each and all four years that the All-America Conference was in existence (1946-49).

The article is in the Coffin Corner: Vol. 27, No. 3 (2005).

Here are two of my favorites:

Pennsylvania Polka (http://profootballresearchers.com/archi ... 10-113.pdf) by Braunwart, Carroll and Horrigan
How to get from Dayton to Indianapolis (http://profootballresearchers.com/archi ... 05-621.pdf) by Bob Carroll
