Back to '84, and speaking of MNF, you'd think they would have been on prime time that year as well coming off back-to-back winning seasons.

After that 3-1 start, where they averaged 37 points in the wins, their offense collapsed; in the next seven losses after that, they averaged just under eight points.

you can get Lomax's book cheap, he talks about those seasons and their failings to some extent, not a great book, but good enough to buy
