Both finished 9-3. The latter of the two beat the Giants by a more lopsided score in the Title Game, Unitas had an even better year than the year before, but I guess I'd have to go with '58. They did start out at 9-1; seemed more dominant. Losing their final two games was a product of them already having clinched their conference. Thoughts?

T.J.'s book covers a lot of this, but Colts ran ball better and stopped the run better in 1958. Not by small margins, either. Pass defense supurb both season, not running ball as well meant Unitas threw more TDs . .. but I'd agree. 1958
