Questions about the Super Bowl trophy parade

Anybody know how they chose Terrell Davis, Joe Namath and Lynn Swann to be the ones to parade the Super Bowl trophy to podium after the game? Just wondering.

If they were choosing from the Super Bowl MVPs who were present at the game, Namath is an obvious choice for his historic significance. Swann struck me as a bit of an odd choice, although he was a very visible member of one of history's most storied teams. Was Davis told "If Denver wins, you're one of the three"? I can only figure he was one of them because Denver won. If Denver didn't win, I wonder who it would have been.

Just wondering if this trio was choreographed before the game, or put on the spot as the game unfolded.

Also, question for the Forum, if you had your choice of three Super Bowl MVPs among those who were there (so excluding Bart Starr and Chuck Howley who were not at the game, and the late Harvey Martin -- I think all the rest were honored in the pre-game ceremony) to perform this honor, who would you pick?

Omitting Montana of course, because he got to toss the coin, and Simms, who was in the TV booth, I would have went with Rice, Steve Young, and perhaps Ottis Anderson, as it was the 25th anniversary of Super Bowl XXV, although I still think Thurman Thomas should have been the MVP of that game. As San Fran was technically the host city of the game their stars should have been front and center.

About the only thing that I can think of with Swann is that it was the 40th anniversary of his monster game in SB X with the two amazing catches.
