USFL Box Scores/Game Logs

Post by ChaseStuart »

Searched a bit and didn't see a thread on this subject, so I thought I'd start one. Is there a good reference for USFL box scores and individual player game logs?

Thanks.

I remember that Sporting News published this guide back then. Hopefully someone could upload the data to the web.

Interesting. I wonder if anyone has any contacts at TSN that could get this up and running.

This game 29 May 1983, http://www.oursportscentral.com/usfl/us ... game_id=76. I'm one of 11,264. A goofy 16 year old who sat in the rain at RFK with a row of seats to myself. I almost had a section to myself.

And like the the write up on the Feds said, most games during their two years in DC was played either in the rain or hot, HUMID, days.

When the Los Angeles Express played their last home game at a high school stadium in The Valley, it was probably a sign that the USFL was on its last legs. Over 8,000 people attended and it was one of their better home draws of the year. The post-game media interviews were conducted on a dirt hill just outside the stadium.

The reverse of the Raiders who went from Frank Youell Field to the Coliseum.

I think the USFL had a real chance for success after year one. However,
i think in year two when Trump bought in, they expanded by 6 teams,
and switched the Chicago-Arizona teams were the steps that started
the beginning of the end.
