Six interceptions in a game (caught, not thrown)
According to the Milwaukee Sentinel, Milton Romney of the Racine Legion intercepted six passes against the Minneapolis Marines on December 2,1923. Hopefully here is the link (OCC I'm using the instructions you sent):

Re: Six interceptions in a game (caught, not thrown)
It worked and I am glad. There is probably an easier way but that method has worked for me.
Nice Article!
It surprised me. When I saw "Romney," I half-expected something with political overtones.
What I found most interesting is that it was DECEMBER and, in December, the main focus of that Sports page was still Baseball.
They squeezed a couple of single-column Football stories between much larger Baseball stories.
That would not happen today - not in December anyway - unless it was Pete Rose' reinstatement.

This is an excellent find. Thank you for sharing Wendell. When you look back at the old game recaps Milt's name shows up quite a bit. Leading me to believe that he was one of the most underrated players of the 1920s.

Aside from this game, I wonder what the most number of picks for one player is in a game?

One of the most memorable was Dick Anderson of the Dolphins on Mondayrhickok1109 wrote:The official record is 4, held by many players.
Night Football in 1973 against the Steelers when he intercepted four passes
in the first half and returned two for touchdowns.

In 1983, the USFL first season, Chicago Blitz (and former Detroit Lion CB) Luther Bradley intercepted six passes against the Tampa Bay Bandits. Bradley was moved to safety by Gorge Allen.

Great Photo too John. Thanx...
Just for the record... Is that a Longines or a Benrus?
If I had to guess, I would say Longines.
