Quentin Coples helped end Jake Locker's 2013 season on a half sack with Muhammad Wilkerson. Coples did a number on Locker again today. It looked like a season-ending injury.

I cannot recall another instance of a player knocking out the same player two years in a row, although it could be said that Chuck Bednarik ended two consecutive Frank Gifford seasons.

Although it didn't end his season, the Raiders put Lynn Swann out of the game with concussions in consecutive meetings - the 1975 AFC Title Game and the 1976 Week 1 meeting between Pittsburgh and Oakland.

Oh, I remember that. The second one in 1976 caused Chuck Noll to make his "criminal element" accusation which ended up in court. The funniest part was some Steeler defensive highlights being shown while Noll was cross examined by George Atkinson's attorney. Noll had to admit his players were part of the NFL's "criminal element."
