With the Packers' win over the Vikings yesterday, Mike McCarthy passed Vince Lombardi to become the second winningest coach in Green Bay history. McCarthy is now 90-48-1 to Lombard's 89-29-4, but it will take him a little while to surpass Curly Lambeau's 209 wins.

...only 12 years with at least ten wins per season.

The shame is that 12 years from now, to the fans of that era, "Lombardi" will be just another name on the pages of history.
A bigger shame - or so it seems here in the land of fire ants and alligators - is that McCarthy has done this in virtual silence?
A quick glance at the major candidates tells me not one of the current crop of head coaches is likely to be in the league 12 years from now?
