Once again, we should all be grateful and appreciative that Ken is a member of our organization.

It is easy to see why a publication of substance or a journalist of quality looks to that person among us who stands head and shoulders above the rest.

Frankly, I believe Ken Crippen is the glue that has kept and is keeping this group together and it is obvious he is the go-to guy when Football-related people need an opinion or fact that is based on Truth and delivered with honesty and sincerity.

In spite of the vast wealth of data and differences of opinion posted here daily, Ken is the main reason I am proud to be a member.
I know a few of you feel the same because we have expressed such in private messages.

Thanks for posting this, AP, and for giving me another opportunity to express one man's appreciation and gratitude to a most-deserving individual.

I'll second that. When Bob Carroll was forced to step down because of health reasons (a little more than a year before his passing), I clearly wasn't the only one who was concerned about how long the organization would be able to continue without him. Ken worked tirelessly on keeping everything together in the years that followed, and the number of members continued to increase under his administration. He's the main reason that there's a Forum for us here.

With particular note to the last sentence written above, the following is added:

We all know of Ken Crippen - just as does the rest of the football world - more importantly, just as do the members
of the Senior Committee of the Professional Football Hall of Fame.
I haven't always agreed with Ken but he has helped me a great deal more than he has ever ignored me.
In fact, other members that I have talked with say the same thing. Ken does this. Ken does that. Ken did this. Ken did that.
I don't know about all those things.
I do know as ONE person he did a better job with the web site in his spare time than seven are doing scurrying about
in the dark.
