I was going to write about the the most lopsided two-score games on the other thread, but I felt this should have its own thread to not steer the conversation in a different direction. (Adjust the margins of victory to 9-16 points for the AFL and for post-1994 NFL)

Super Bowl XXVI. The Bills crawled back into the game in the third quarter 24-10. Washington drove for a TD, and forced turnovers on the next two Buffalo drives to add on FG's. Down 37-10, Buffalo drove down the field, aided by Washington penalties, for two scores, the second aided by an onside kick. But even these two drives weren't particularly impressive looking. After recovering another onside kick, the Redskins ran for a few first downs to run out most of the clock. The final score of 37-24 is very misleading.

1999 season NFC Wild Card game. Washington blew away Detroit in the first half 27-0. The only time the Lions were in Washington territory was after a short punt, and they promptly moved backwards. (They did complete a Hail Mary on the last play of the half, but Herman Moore was gang tackled at the three.) Their only scores came after a blocked FG was returned 94 yards for a TD with 10 minutes to play to make it 27-6. The Lions drove 90 yards to score on the last play of regulation. Final score 27-13.

1999 season playoff game. Ahead 49-17 midway through the fourth quarter, the Rams stopped playing defense at all as the Vikings scored three touchdowns in the final five minutes to make the final score 49-37, which could have been even closer if Minnesota converted two missed two-point conversions.

The LA Rams beat the Atlanta Falcons 10-0 on September 10, 1978. The Rams had 23 first downs to 7 for Atlanta and 358 total yards to 73.

Monday night's game?
"It was a different game when I played.
When a player made a good play, he didn't jump up and down.
Those kinds of plays were expected."
