There is a WSJ column about Kyle Orton, now with the Bills, putting him among the company of successful journeymen QBs in NFL history since 1950 (using passer rating as the ruler).
From the (very short) article:
"Since 1950, 17 quarterbacks have started games for five different teams, according to Stats LLC. Orton has started for the Bears, Broncos, Chiefs, Cowboys and Bills. Only six of those 17 quarterbacks have records better than .500 as a starter, including Orton, who is 38-36."
